Department of Business
Administration named as “Management of Business” was established
initially for graduate programs within Faculty of Social and
Administrative Sciences in 1974. (Master of Science and PhD). In
1976, Department of Business Administration started to offer its
undergraduate program.
With the reorganization of
Faculty of Social and Administrative Sciences as Faculty of Social
and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration
became a part of Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences in
20.7.1982.
Since 1990-1991 academic
year, language of education in the undergraduate level of business
administration department has been English. Within the framework of
Business Administration Department, there are Management and
Organization, Accounting and Finance, Quantitative Methods,
Production and Operations Management and Marketing, Tourism
Management and Organizational Behavior branches.
The department currently
has about
20 academic teaching staff and 512
undergraduate, 200 graduate (139 MS and MBA and PhD) students.
