Welcome to Business Administration Department

History

The Department of Business Administration was founded in 1974 as a part of Social and Administration Faculty. The department first offered Master’s and Doctoral programs, then began offering an Undergraduate program in 1976. It became a part of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1987 when the faculty was established. The Department of Business Administration switched to an English Undergraduate program in October 1990. Currently, the department consists of divisions of Management and Organization, Accounting and Finance, Production Management and Marketing, Quantitative Methods, Organizational Behavior, Commercial Law, and Tourism Management

 

Prospective Students

Education And Admission:

Business Administration department offers curriculum leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Its aim is to be the most distinguished and preferred Business Administration Departments in Turkey. Moreover, the department provides high quality education and teaching and also contributes to scientific studies. Each year, our department enrolls approximately 100 students chosen by University Entrance Exam (ÖSS) with a percentile of 1.8. The education language in undergraduate courses is English, therefore the students are required to pass English Language Exam or otherwise required to attend Preparatory School for at least one year. Our students have effective communication and interpersonal skills, a socially responsible attitude, are flexible to change. The graduates of the department are being prepared to take their place in leading management positions. The programs of our business department are also designed to prepare students for further study at the graduate level.

Campus:

Beytepe Campus is located at Beytepe, in the suburbs of Ankara, about 10 miles west of the city over an area of 6,000,000 m2 of forest and campus area. There are administrative offices, library, student dormitories, sports and recreation centers are located on this campus.

Sports and Recreation: Physical training and sports facilities are available in the Sports Halls in Beytepe Campus. The biggest covered gymnasium in Turkey is at Beytepe Campus. There are outdoor and indoor sports facilities for basketball, volleyball, football on the campuses.

The University also provides facilities for winter sports. Located at Elmadağ (1800 m) 40 km from Ankara, the University has a ski-lodge which can cater for 150 people and house 50. There is a ski-lift and an ice-rink.

The Beytepe Campus is ideal for outdoor activities being located at the heart of the University forest. There are also many elective courses in arts in which the students may actively participate in any field of interest.

Hacettepe University provides facilities and funding for student clubs, which are active in many diverse fields of interest. Currently, there are 56 active student clubs.

Accommodation:

There are three different types of accomodation available at the University :

Student Dormitories: Rooms for four, with shared bathrooms, study halls and kitchens, to house 578 male and 878 female students, loceted at Beytepe.

Beytepe Student Halls: single or double rooms, with bathrooms, shared kitchens, common and TV rooms, and Iaundrette, to house 1198 students.
